CNN is reporting an attempted domain name hijacking at gun point. According to a CNN report a social media influencer convinced his cousin to break into the home of a domain name owner and threaten him at gun point in order to obtain a transfer of the domain name. The Court heard that the suspect had tried to unsuccessfully purchase the domain name, doitforstate.com numerous times.
The plan fell to pieces when the home owner ended up shooting the intruder.
