CPA.com.au was snapped today on the expired domain name auctions by Drop.com.au on behalf of CPA Australia Ltd.
The accounting body bid $50,000 in what is the year’s largest published LLL domain name sale. CPA Australia currently use cpaaustralia.com.au. This acquisition will boost marketing efforts for the organisation. This is a smart buy.
Short LL and LLL domain names are highly sought after, providing many benefits including usability, particularly on mobile devices.
This sale also demonstrates the strength of the .au domain space and the confidence Australian business have in .au.
Glad CPA Australia got it. Bit of a risk not hitting the next level up ($100k) on Drop.com.au, but it’s a Saturday I suppose – fewer end user buyers to compete with on the weekend. Look forward to seeing CPA.com.au on TV!
